#5 Rules for Success

Are you ready to hit the road to success?

I don't know. Really?

Client: "I would like to start my own business but I don't know how. Where to start?“

Me: "I wish there is some free encyclopedia in your home that can help you to answer all your questions. Oh wait, there is! Google is your friend. Google it!"

If you have no idea what to do with your life – search it on Google. If you want to start a business but you don't know what is the first step, search on Google „First step for starting a business.“ What is the worst thing that can happen? My neighbor is CEO of company "Aliens Kidnapped the School". I wonder how did he come up with the idea.

Be realistic – Expect miracles!

The only way to progress in life is to do something you have never done before. When you are doing something for the first time, you have no clue what are you doing and you are feeling fear. That is ok. Successful people are successful because they decide to do it, despite the fear. To do something clumsy is still better than to not do it at all. Making mistakes is an experience. Experience is the first step to success.

Statistics are telling us that before the death, the most frequent regret is that people didn't take enough risks. Risk more! Think about what can you lose?

Instead of asking yourself why would I do that, say to yourself – Why not!

The only limits that exist are the one in your mind, and you are the only person that can move them. Visualize your goal, set a date, imagine a color of your new car, imagine that you are already there. Believe in yourself. If you don't believe in yourself, who will?

Forget Ego

Ego is based on what other people think of you, or how would you want them to see you. You don't have time to worry about that. Life is too short. Instead, invest your hours in knowledge, fun, doing good or in your career development. Don't waste your time on other people opinions. There is no time to be insecure. Detach your self-esteem from external people and circumstances. Your peace, respect, and self-confidence are already within you, you don't have to ask for them in other people.

Jealousy comes from ego. If other people are doing better than you, be happy for them. Unless they are your competitors. Then report them to inspection and destroy their business. Just joking. Learn from them everything you can. Compete only with the person you were yesterday.

Take responsibility for everything you do and for everything that is happening to you. Stop blaming circumstances or other people.

Charles Swindoll once said, „Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it.“ Remember that. You don't have to do (almost) anything. You always have a choice.

Integrity

Integrity, moral philosophy, life values, ethics and other stuff you didn't understand during your philosophy classes in college.
